Aloha!
The Golbys' arrival in Hawaii coincided with the wettest six weeks in Hawaii's history. Only we could move to paradise, only to discover that paradise was flooding!
Despite the rain, things are going pretty well for us. We're still living in a hotel while we wait to close on our new condo. We expect to close in early May, but we're hopeful that we'll be able to move in a few weeks early. Kathleen is tired of being cooped up in a hotel room. Honestly, I'm not making that up! We went downstairs to the laundromat in the hotel the other day, and when we returned to our room, Kathleen started crying as soon as we walked in the door. We walked back out, and she stopped. Back in, and she started up again! Of course, Kathleen's not alone in being bored of hotel living. We'll all be happy to get more settled.
Kathleen's learning more every day. This morning at church she was perfecting her thumb-sucking. She babbles and has a funny, raspy little laugh. She likes to lie under her play gym and hit and kick the toys. She's holding up her head well, so she rides facing out in the Baby Bjorn, which she loves. Hopefully we'll be able to post some pictures of her soon, posing in front of tourist attractions, so everyone can see how big she's gotten.

Jim learned how to suck his thumb at an early age also. Be careful though he only stopped the day before he went to college
